September: turbulent month with clear signals
September was a turbulent month. The Federal Reserve cut interest rates for the first time in years, while crypto saw the largest long liquidations of 2025. At the same time, both banks and multinationals are increasingly embracing digital assets.
Market developments
Rate cut by the Fed: on September 17, the U.S. policy rate was lowered by 25 bps. More liquidity in the market has historically often provided a tailwind for risk assets such as crypto.
Liquidations: in the same month, more than a billion dollars in leveraged positions were wiped out. This illustrates how quickly market dynamics can reverse—and underscores the importance of risk management.
Adoption accelerates
Banks: ING and other European banks announced a joint stablecoin initiative: an important step toward institutional adoption of crypto.
Companies: multinationals such as Toyota and Yamaha now accept USDT in Bolivia, where demand for digital dollars is increasing due to pressure on national reserves.
Outlook
Our indicators suggest we are at the beginning of an upward trend.
We therefore continue to:
- Hedge the downside → protection on pullbacks
- Maximize the upside → ride the rallies
With the more accommodative liquidity backdrop and growing adoption, the outlook for Q4 is positive.
